Wedding Yetis

My days are becoming limited! The wedding is getting so close and I am not getting a minute of rest! I am pretty overwhelmed right now- not going to lie. But I am also getting really excited. I went to the depot today and mapped out all my stuff and what needs to be done. I have had to nix some ideas, but it still is going to be awesome!

I am still not going to show anything, but since these are just variations of my yetis I will show off them! :)

I realized it is just not right to not have my yetis at my wedding! So I took my own plush and my moms and gave them some appropriate attire. haha. If you don't hear from me a lot in the next month, you know why!

One Month to Go!

Today marks the one month countdown until the wedding. Holy crap. I have a lot to do.

I went to Boise today and got a lot of stuff bought for it, but the best purchase was my epic yeti hat.

PIGWIDGEON IS HOME!!!

Guess who is home?!

My beloved kitty was found by some amaizing neighbors, who found her stuck in a tree. Knowing she was ours, they coaxed her out and put in her in their house, fed her and took great care of her until they found us. I was so happy I bawled like a baby! I am so happy to have her home and safe and sound.

Thank you to everybody you sent prayers and good thoughts our way! I really appreciate it and you are all awesome!

I know I owe some of you some messages tonight...I just got home from Boise with my mom, and I am turning around and going back with Kevin. Oy! lol. So I will write you all soon, I promise!

Good and Bad News

Hello everybody. I have been crafting non-stop, but today I am taking a hiatus. Pigwidgeon, our kitten, went missing last night and I am absolutely heartbroken. I put her out last night at about 8:00 and went home to my parents house to work on some paintings and stuff. Kevin gets back from work at about 10:00 and she was not there but we figured she was playing in the back or something. This morning though, there was still no sign of her. I have been looking all day and asking the neighbors but no luck. I am just so sad. I love that cat so much. I am just praying she turns up.

On a brighter note, I got a job today. I had an interview last week and today I got the call offering me the position. On September 7th, I will become a pre-school teacher. I am super happy and grateful, but I am just incredibly distraught from today.

Also, our photographer has a good chunk of all our engagement photos up on her site. I just love her. She truly is fabulous! Take a peek if you would like!

Art Doll Quarterly

My Art Doll Quarterly Magazine came in today! Yay!
My name is Cramer, not Craner. But I don't even care. The Z is there which is all that matter. Plus I will be Talbot in about a month. HOLY CRAP!! I am getting married in about a month!

Tim Burton Set

Just thought I would share the extras I made for the Burton swap!

Tell Me...Why is a Raven like a Writing Desk?

I just wrapped things up on the Tim Burton swap I participated in on Craftster. I spent a lot of time on this little guy and had a hard time sending him off!

The outfit he is based off of:

I also made a mini one for Amy!

Shower Weekend

I thought I would share some pictures with you all from the weekend. First off, as you can see above, my town has an awesome Welcoming Committee! Haha...these are the plush gifts I made for my 4 friends that drove from Portland for the weekend.

We spent the morning and afternoon showing them Ontario and taking them to our favorite food spots and then the day was spent in the park playing frisbee, plaing music, and just hanging out. It was actually a blast!

The shower was that same evening and the bachelorette party followed afterwards.

And the boys had their own fun:

It was an awesome weekend!

Zombie Monster!!

I had originally made the first Zombie Yeti for my Maid of Honor, Tara. She came down this weekend for my Bridal Shower and she brought our twin friends with her. I made a second zombie for one twin, Alyssa, but I wanted something different but similar for her sister Sarah. Thus, a Zombie Monster/Gremlin was born. Pretty much the same thing but with black fur and pointed ears instead! :)

Thank Cthulhu the Weekend is Over!

This weekend has been sooooo busy! As usual, I guess. I am so ready for October! I just want to sit on my butt and do nothing.

I had my Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party this weekend. The whole weekend was a blast, but the best part about it was that I had some friends make the 7-8 hour drive down here to my town for the weekend so they could celebrate with me. Three of my favorite girls made the trek and then our friend Ivan came with them to hang out with Kevin while we were at the shower. I had already made zombie yetis for the girls and I wanted to give something to Ivan. He loves reading and writing and H.P. Lovecraft is one of his favorites. So a cthulhu was born!
Because of a strange inside joke I won't bother to explain here, Cthulhu comes with many mustaches.

I Would Do Anything For Meat Loaf

I am back.

I am physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. And I had the time of my life.

Kevin and I seriously had a blast. I didn't get to meet ML, but I got to see him from the front and center as close as one can get.

To start with, I must say, a tiny 24-year-old girl who looks maybe only 16, walking around with a painting half her size and a chibi-fied Meat Loaf plush kind of sticks out at a concert for a 62 year old rocker. haha. I mean seriously...Kevin and I were the youngest people there. Possibly the only 20-somethings. I am not lying. So that made us stand out already, let alone with the added plush and painting, among all the 50-60-something (mostly) men and women. But it worked to my advantage because it totally made me noticeable, which got the guards attention and on my side.

Those guards were awesome. I mean truly amazing. They did everything in their power to help me get as close as possible. They even tried to get me to him after the concert when they were loading up but Meat was too fast and sneaky. However,  because of them, I was able to go to the very front and show him my stuff and then they took it and gave it to the staff to deliver to his room. They even tracked down a pen for me to write all my information in case something went wrong and they could contact me. Just awesome guys. I hope they know how grateful I am!

And even though I did not meet Meat Loaf, I did get to meet his daughter, Pearl, and her husband, Scott Ian of Anthrax. They opened for the concert, and she was adorable, talented, and sweet and he was so nice! It is always so amazing to meet such down-to-Earth people who lead such glamorous lives. They both praised the doll and I had people stopping to take pictures and ask me about. It was unreal!  And having big, burly tattooed men tell you that your hand made doll is "f*&ing adorable" is so strange! haha.

And while I was holding my stuff to show to Meat Loaf, the guitarists gave me thumbs up and one flicked his pick to me. I was given another pick after the concert as well. The drummer gave me his drumstick at the end, and Kevin bought me a signed Special Edition CD available only at the concert. I also bought some awesome swag, like a t-shirt with a cute bat (total Spooky Pooky style!) and a Pearl CD which she and Scott signed. I also got a book centering on this tour so I will have that to remember the night, and I got a guitar pick necklace. I splurged a little thanks to my Momo who loves me and gave me money.

It seriously was life-altering. I will never forget the concert and the people and the whole experience. Thank you to everybody for supporting my crazy obsession and rooting for me! It was the best night of my life!

I am going to be adding all my photos to flickr tomorrow. I will let you know when they are up if you wanna see!
