The Pumpkin Queen

This was one of my first Pumpkin Head dolls, the Pumpkin Queen! AlwaysInspired mentioned it being her favorite, so I sent this little Queen to her. :)

What a Wonderful Day

Okay, so I have been having a rough month with a lot of ups and downs and a lot of bad news, but today was such a wonderful day. First of all, today was my Friday. Tomorrow is a teacher work day and I do not have to come in. That is wonderful, let me tell you. I love my job, but right now, the kids are burned out and warm weather makes them rowdy and hard to control and just simply hard to take sometimes. I love them to death, but some days you just want to scream!

But today work was awesome. First of all, a student just got back from Disneyland and she brought back some yeti magnets from the park just for me. How cool is that???!! Not only was I excited that she thought of me, but it was such a personalized gift. Very cool. I also got some possible good news on the job front that was really good to hear after some major stress and bad news. And then I came home to find a card from my Aunt with a whopping check to help pay for the wedding. I can now buy my dream wedding dress that I was forfeiting because I couldn't afford it. Yeah, I cried.

Finally, I opened this amazing swap package from AlwaysInspired and bawled some more. I am going to share the pictures of what she sent me with you guys, but I will wait for her to post them first. She is amazing. I mean, simply amazing. Her package was the perfect ending to a much-needed great day.

So, what I am getting at here is that I am in an excellent mood! Since Deana has received my package today as well, I thought I would share the main item I sent her. I will save the rest for some other posts. :) For now, enjoy this! She made the mistake of telling me she is a Halloween junkie so of course I went nuts with that since I am a Halloween junkie myself. (Obviously!)
Spending 364 days of the year plotting and scheming, the Halloween Master is a true spooky virtuoso. With a treasury cabinet full of spell kits and other ominous paraphernalia, this little guy has a very busy agenda ahead of him for the next few months.

Deedra's Stuff!

Well, this post has been a long time coming! I am having so many issues with so many things lately. Between my glitchy computer not ever working correctly, and the stupid USPS screwing up royally on more than one occassion, I have been about ready to throw in the towel!

But, finally, I got the package out and the pictures uploaded. These are some things I sent over to Deedra and her friend. This package is long overdue, but I hope she likes it!

First up: Another yeti!
He is stuffed with rice this time, so he sits up. And he comes with his own little tin canister :)

Next up: Her friend's cute little family!
I also threw in some extra post cards and things, but I will save those for another post. I have about 20 postcards to post, so I will have to do a giant blog with all of them when I have the time!

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Cat of Fortner Street

Hello friends!
It has been awhile! I have had some incredibly busy weeks, and kind of a rough time. One thing is actually the topic of this post. I had a cat that I adored. I mean, I loved that little sucker. I actually never ever liked cats but on Halloween we found this tiny little kitten stuck in a tree so I rescued her out of it and started feeding her and getting her weight back up. I had no intentions of keeping her, but I wanted to get her health restored before finding a home. Well, I ended up falling in love with her and keeping her for myself. She was evil as all hell. She did this cute little "Puss-N-Boots" type smile with the big huge eyes and then the moment you picked her up, she would wrap her paws around your arm and sink her teeth in! But it was SO CUTE! And she was not always mean. She was the cutest cat and she was so playful and funny. I named her Sweeney Todd because she had crazy black and white fur that stuck up all over the place and obviously she was  also named for that evil streak she had in her.
Anyways, for many reasons, the biggest being my mom's horrible allergies to her, I had to put her up for adoption. Last weekend, Sweeney Todd went away to her new owner and I have been crying ever since. I know she went to a good home, and my mom has even been corresponding with the new owner even to assure me she is well-loved and taken care of, but it really has just broken my heart. I loved that cat so much and I miss her to pieces. I am such an emotional person, I am sure I am crying more than normal, but I am just so sad.

I wanted to have something to remind me of her, so I found a little tiny strawberry shortcake cardboard book and decorated it with pictures, paper, drawings and book cutouts. I like how it turned out, overall. A big thanks goes out to Audrey and Kira for inspiration!

It is not my best work, and I might change the eyes on the drawing of her, but I still like how it came out. :)
The wonderful Amy made me a little amigurumi Sweeney to also help me remember her. It is simply fabulous!

Look how spot on she got!

I hope everybody is having a fabulous weekend!

Happy Easter!

I have posted this before, but it is the closest thing I have got to an Easter Bunny. But I figure an Easter Bunny itself is so far deviated from the original meaning of the holiday, what the heck. I'll post a jackelope!

Happy Easter!

Wedding Gifts!

Wedding Gifts!

I thought I would share some of the amazing things I have received for my wedding thus far. :)

Thanks to all those who are swapping things with me! I love what I have received and can't wait for what else is coming!

First up: Gothic Whimsy Birdhouse by the amazing Audrey!
 Isn't this fantastic?!

Next up: A beautiful painting by the oh-so-talented Deedra!
Her paintings are so amazing and now I have one!

Then: by complete surprise, FoxySam of craftster sent me these cute little skeletons!
So adorable!

There is more!: Amy and I share a passion for all things yeti, so it was only appropriate she make me these! I am in love with them. Plain and simple.

And finally: Today I received a wonderful zombie bride poppet from my partner in the Cute-n-Creepy Swap of Doom. I got engaged while this swap was going and I gushed for days to all the girls about it. So this is so cool since I will forever associate the swap with my engagement.

Thanks everybody! I will do an update when I get some more of my lovely and amazing things!

Welcome to the Doomsville Cute-n-Creepy Zoo!

Well, I haven't heard from my partner yet, but according to tracking she received her package, so I think it is safe to post this. She sent me an amazing package I just got today, so I might share it later! This was for the Cute-n-Creepy Swap on Craftster that I organized. I partnered up with Seraphine_de_Sangre, a.k.a. Kia, and she was awesome! I ended up doing hers in a theme, unintentionally. She said she like cute animals with blood, so that sort of just turned into this Doomsville Zoo theme. I hope she likes it! So without further ado:

Welcome to the
Doomsville Cute-n-Creepy Zoo!

First Up: A season pass to the zoo leading us to the first stop of the day- ZOMBIE BUNNY!

Next stop: The White Tiger! Er...excuse me. Ahem...the White VAMPIRE Tiger.
After that, we need to head on over to the Aquarium. Zombie Octopus is waiting for us!
The day is not over yet! Evil Elephants are awaiting us!
And last but not least, Doomsville's favorite little Doomy Bear is here to finish off our lovely day at the zoo!

This was an amazing swap. The people were great and overall we only had 2 flakers, which isn't bad for 50 people! Please be kind, Doomy Bear is my first plush so he is not perfect!
