What a Wonderful Day

Okay, so I have been having a rough month with a lot of ups and downs and a lot of bad news, but today was such a wonderful day. First of all, today was my Friday. Tomorrow is a teacher work day and I do not have to come in. That is wonderful, let me tell you. I love my job, but right now, the kids are burned out and warm weather makes them rowdy and hard to control and just simply hard to take sometimes. I love them to death, but some days you just want to scream!

But today work was awesome. First of all, a student just got back from Disneyland and she brought back some yeti magnets from the park just for me. How cool is that???!! Not only was I excited that she thought of me, but it was such a personalized gift. Very cool. I also got some possible good news on the job front that was really good to hear after some major stress and bad news. And then I came home to find a card from my Aunt with a whopping check to help pay for the wedding. I can now buy my dream wedding dress that I was forfeiting because I couldn't afford it. Yeah, I cried.

Finally, I opened this amazing swap package from AlwaysInspired and bawled some more. I am going to share the pictures of what she sent me with you guys, but I will wait for her to post them first. She is amazing. I mean, simply amazing. Her package was the perfect ending to a much-needed great day.

So, what I am getting at here is that I am in an excellent mood! Since Deana has received my package today as well, I thought I would share the main item I sent her. I will save the rest for some other posts. :) For now, enjoy this! She made the mistake of telling me she is a Halloween junkie so of course I went nuts with that since I am a Halloween junkie myself. (Obviously!)
Spending 364 days of the year plotting and scheming, the Halloween Master is a true spooky virtuoso. With a treasury cabinet full of spell kits and other ominous paraphernalia, this little guy has a very busy agenda ahead of him for the next few months.

What an amazing gift and what an amazing aunt! I'm sorry things are going so roughly. Wedding planning is so stressful! If you need any help, I can! Also, do you have any wedding planning books? I have an Anti Bride Guide book I'd be more than happy to send your way! It had some great hints and ideas. :) I made the jewelry, flowers, ring bearer's tie and pillow, favors, table runners and a bunch of other stuff for our wedding so if you need any assistance, please feel free to ask! :)

Yay! You made my day yesterday too! Things at work are very hectic for me so there was nothing better than coming home to a package! I did my wedding on a budget too and it was stressful, but totally worth it in the end!

Everyone needs one of those great days every once and a while :) That Meatloaf poppet from Alwaysinspired is really amazing! I'm soooo glad you found someone to make him for you! Some more good news, I'm crafting just a little bit more and then I should be ready to send something special to you really soon! I'm EXCITED! I hope you continue to have good things come your way, Alexz!

That cabinet is just amazing, as is the Meatloaf poppet. And I'm so glad that you had a good day too! Everyone needs one of those days every once in a while. :)

If you want to swap, that would be fun! I adore your yetis, so maybe a little yeti picture or stuffie for my great niece? I also have a green bride guide if you're thinking of going eco-friendly. Either way, I won't be using them! :) I got a great wedding planner from my sister, I'll have to figure out the name. It was a godsend! IT's small enough to throw in your purse but you can put all your info in it. Let me know! If you want, you can email me at something_amazing@live.com about stuff. :)
